Just like we started informing you here, and we reminded you about here and we reminded you again here (you can't say we haven't given it hype...), The Cosmonaut team had the good idea of organizing, together with our friends of Lomospain, a lomographic contest. The aim of the contest was to be able to find the lomographies which best captured the universe described in The Cosmonaut script, in which a Soviet cosmonaut finds himself trapped in a desolate Earth.
First of all, here's our utter gratitude to all participants. Thanks to you, the call for entries has been a resounding success: we have received over 400 lomographies which will be under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license. With your participation, you have contributed to enrich the universe surrounding the project and to give it an imagery which is now at the disposal of all of us.
Et voilà... the party of the second part. As we informed you a few days ago, we have at last found enough courage to undertake the always difficult task of deciding the winners. Hey, we didn't even have the time to celebrate the INVI thing (may all of you get a guilty conscience). So, after the meeting between Pasquale Caprile (lomographic ambassador in Spain), Nicolás Alcalá (director of The Cosmonaut) and Carlos Martínez-Abarca (the one and only Mr. Arsenievich himself), this is the way things are...
IMPORTANT: Now it's your turn. You have to show your leg under the door, that is, you have to contact us (hola@elcosmonauta.es). And if you are in the commendations list, indicate which t-shirt and size you want. Also, the first three awards must send their negatives via traditional mail or take them to the Lomography Embassy Store Echegaray, to confirm that we can give those negatives to them at the ceremony award.

If you have pried through the Cosmonaut's website you'll know many things about this Riot Cinema Collective project. For instance, that among the articles that you can acquire (and becoming a producer in this way), there's a book: Poetics for Cosmonauts, by Henry Pierrot. And you know that the film's script owes a lot to this book, almost as much as to the strange chance which led us to find it.
Since the first edition of this little gem is completely sold out, we thought it was time to reprint it. We decided to do it this time in an English-Spanish bilingual edition, with a prologue by Alberto Olmos and an epilogue written by an important person in the cinema world.
And you know how the film project works: anybody can become a producer.
Now there's a new way of doing it, and it's by funding the reprint of Poetics for Cosmonauts. A 500 copies print run will be made, and for that we need a sponsor.
This edition has an approximate price of €1,200.
With your contribution you will receive a percentage of the film but you will also be mentioned as the person who made the reprint possible and your name will be in the book. Besides, you can choose to change your corresponding percentage of the film for a percentage of the possible benefits the selling of books may create. You choose...
EDITED: We have just broken a Crowdfunding record, for sure :P

I discovered Aleksandra Mir at a bland art festival in ARCO. It was the only highlight, but it shined like a brilliant meteor just about to crash against Earth.
